An opportunity for Greene County youth to learn strategies and tips for babysitting is being offered next week.
Greene County Extension is hosting the annual Babysitting Basics course on Saturday, October 26th from 9am-3:30pm. Topics that will be covered include a babysitter’s responsibilities, what employers expect, entertainment ideas for kids, handling emergencies, first aid and safety tips, and caring for kids of different ages. Register by October 18th for $40, otherwise the fee is $50.
The one-day course is for those in 5th-8th grades. Class size is limited. To sign up call 515-386-2138 or stop by the Extension office in Jefferson.
