A Guthrie Center business celebrated its one year anniversary and officially joined the Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce this weekend.

The Pink Poppy Apothecary & Co. held a ribbon cutting with the Chamber Friday afternoon, coinciding with a “1st Birthday Bash” open house they’re hosting this Friday and Saturday. Owned by Jen Readinger, the store specializes in organic products to soothe the body and mind, from essential oils and herbs to tea and home goods. Readinger says the shop is meant to be a welcoming space where people who are unfamiliar can ask questions about the products and relax. She says she hopes to expand this year into hosting educational classes, book clubs, girl’s nights and more. To learn more about the store, visit here.
