Coming into tonight’s gridiron match-up as winners of five straight, the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team will look to extend that impressive streak to 6.

Scott Heitland’s squad picked up a narrow win last week on the road at Humboldt, 17-12.  The game at Humboldt was the third straight win for the Mustangs on the road this season, as DC-G has only played two games, so far, this season on their own turf.

Tonight, DC-G will play host to winless Boone.  The Toreadors were blasted last week at Carroll by the score of 55-13.

Carroll and Dallas Center-Grimes are both currently 2-0 in District games, and are knotted up for the lead of the District.  The Mustangs are in control of their own destiny, at this point.  Should they continue to get wins, DC-G will be in a position to win the District outright with a match-up with Carroll in the regular season finale on October 25.

The Mustangs are ranked #12 in the lastest Class 3A polls.

DC-G will kick off tonight’s game with Boone at 7:30pm from Grimes.
