The Perry Public Library will be hosting their annual shredding event this weekend, and the community is invited to safely dispose of any documents they may have.
Library Director Mary Murphy says the program will be held in the south parking lot of the library. She adds, it’s free to take advantage of, though with an exception. “We always say, ‘One to two boxes, donations are welcome.’ If you have more than that — if you’re cleaning out your grandma’s house — I know some people have more, and I just say, ‘Bring a donation.’ Because the line has nowhere near filled the parking lot, so we do have some capacity there to serve our residents.”
Murphy emphasizes, the shred day will be held rain or shine, and it will run Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon.
