The Adel City Council will convene Tuesday evening in regular session.
The meeting will start with two public hearings. The first will be regarding the authorization of a loan agreement and issuance of $4.2 million in general obligation refunding capital loan notes. The second will cover sign regulations. Following the hearings, the Council will consider resolutions for both items in new business. Prior to that action in old business, the Council will have discussion and possible action on an annexation request north of City limits. They will then hold a community discussion regarding the potential sale of City land in Kinnick Feller Park to Restoration Harmony.
In new business, the Council will consider approval of an application from Iowa Spring to the Economic Development Authority under the High Quality Jobs program. Following that will be the first reading of an ordinance repealing the City’s Economic Development Commission, and a resolution approving the final plat for Southbridge, plat two. Other items on the agenda include: an appointment to the Board of Adjustment; approving electronic bidding procedures and distribution of preliminary official statements; and pay estimates and resolutions to accept the 2018 street resurfacing and storm water utility projects.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
