The West Central Wildcats had a tough challenge heading into the week as they were tasked with taking on state ranked Van Meter on the road, and they were unable to come away with the victory as they fell to the powerhouse 48-7. The Wildcats have had a lot on their plate this week on and off the field, as they have had to deal with the resignation of former football coach Shaen Polasky.

The Bulldogs of Van Meter took control of the game early as they raced out to a 41-0 halftime lead. The Wildcats were able to get into the end zone for the second time this year as they found pay dirt in the 4th quarter of play.

The Wildcats will go back to the drawing board and continue to play with a short handed coaching staff as they host ACGC next week in Stuart.
