The Adel Public Library has several Halloween-themed events coming up in the first part of October, and the community is invited to the free activities.

First, on Friday, October 11th, tweens and teens are invited to make their own Halloween “Zombie Snack,” as well as play some spooky games. The program will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the “Bored Room” at the library, and registration is not required. Registration is required for the next event, however, as on Tuesday, October 15th the library will once again welcome Shari Hudson from Shari’s Artful Expressions for a craft program for adults. Participants will learn how to do “Pumpkin Book Folding,” with all materials provided at no cost. The event will start at 6 p.m. in the community room, and space is limited.

Finally, people of all ages are encouraged to decorate their own mini pumpkins on Friday, October 18th at 2:30 p.m. Pumpkins and paints will be provided, and attendees will get to keep what they make. In addition to the scheduled programs, the library staff also reminds the public that they offer free snacks four days a week during the fall. The snacks are available on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. For more information on these and other events at the Adel Public Library, stop in or visit their website, AdelPL.org.
