October 6th-12th is National 4-H Week and Greene County 4-H’ers are planning several activities to celebrate.
4-H’ers are encouraged to wear their 4-H t-shirts and take a “selfie,” to send toto Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms who will then post on their Facebook page. Current 4-H’ers are also invited to refer someone new to the organization, and decorate business’ storefront windows. The windows will be judged and the club that decorates the best window will win a pizza party.
Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel talks about a new event that 4-H’ers can do next Wednesday, which can be entered into the 2020 Greene County Fair.
“Art on the Fly, we’re going to have a project that they can do and then submit that to the (county) fair. It is going to cost them about $20. They need to let us know by the 4th (today) if they can so that we make sure we have enough supplies.”
The Art on the Fly project will take place at the Extension office in Jefferson from 5-6:30pm on Wednesday, October 9th.
