A Minnesota man was sentenced to probation for a felony drug charge in Guthrie County this week.

Court documents show that 54-year-old Emil Henry Juntunen of Albert Lea pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana – third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. Juntunen was then ordered to serve a suspended five year prison sentence, with credit given for 56 days served. He’s also placed on two years probation, and is ordered to pay over $4,000 for a probation supervision fee, fines, surcharges, court costs, and restitution. Other pending misdemeanors have been dismissed, with those court costs to be paid by the defendant. The charge stems from an August 5th incident in which Juntunen was found sleeping in a vehicle that was allegedly driven through someone’s yard near Bayard, and law enforcement found THC oil and vape pens.
