A Lytton woman was sentenced this week to up to 12 years in prison for a methamphetamine and child endangerment conviction in Guthrie County.

According to court documents, in a plea agreement 36-year-old Amy Dawn Rodriguez was convicted of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a class C felony; and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. Rodriguez is sentenced to no more than 10 years at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Mitchellville for the felony, and no more than two years for the misdemeanor, to be served concurrently. She must also pay around $3,000 in fines, restitution, and surcharges. All other charges issued in connection with the case were dismissed. Rodriguez was arrested and charged on July 2nd, 2018 near the intersection of Highways 4 and 141 for child endangerment, and the original charge of possession of more than five grams of meth, a class B felony.
