There may be some jedi mind tricks at play when the Panorama High School football team squares off against Mt. Ayr during their 2019 homecoming, with the theme “Return of the Panthers.”
The high school is paying tribute to the Star Wars franchise with this theme, and will have a Star Wars or space-related dress up day this week, as well as color day, severe weather day, school spirit day, and “VSCO Girl Day,” which Student Council Vice President Chloe Webster foreshadows, “It’s an app that has been kind of trendy and it’s kind of an inside joke for everyone so some people might not understand it, but that’s the day.”
The elementary students will also get in the spirit with their own dress up days and an elementary pep rally in the circle drive at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Events also include a Student Council Cook-Out for students and staff Friday, best class banner contest, and a dance Saturday night. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the varsity football game Friday night at 7 p.m.
