Following an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office about an event at River Farms Recreation, no criminal charges will be filed.

Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn tells Raccoon Valley Radio after reviewing the report of the June 22nd event held at River Farms Recreation, he concluded there was insufficient evidence to bring criminal charges at this time and he agrees with Sheriff Jack Williams assessment of the case. Laehn says the investigation was looking into the several drunk driving incidents associated with the event, to several individuals under the age of 21 who admitted to consuming alcohol during the event. However, Laehn points out the elements from the event couldn’t be proven to file any charges.

River Farms Recreation Owner Craig Flack tells Raccoon Valley Radio he’s disappointed with how he felt he was treated and that he feels the whole situation has hurt his business. He says they did everything in their power to keep people safe. Flack believes he has brought so much business to Greene County through River Farms Recreation.

An event was held at River Farms Recreation on June 22nd, where an entertainment company, Iowa Chill, promoted the 18-year-old and over event.
