healthiest-state-walk

A statewide annual effort to get Iowans up and moving returns next week, with several events in Guthrie County.

There are three registered Healthiest State Initiative Walks happening on Wednesday, October 2nd. The first is happening at 8:30 a.m. titled “Panthers on the Prowl for a Healthy Iowa” and will include the Panorama middle and high school students and staff walking the football field track. The Panorama elementary students will then walk around the track at 9 a.m. The public is invited to take part in a 30 minute walk hosted by Main Street Guthrie Center and Guthrie County Hospital and Clinics at noon in downtown Guthrie Center. The group will be meeting in the Hometown Foods parking lot at noon. These walks are promoted by the initiative in an effort to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation.
