The AC/GC football team’s quest for a perfect season came to an end Friday night.

AC/GC made the trip to Van Meter Friday to face the #3 Bulldogs. Van Meter entered the matchup without losing a regular season game since the season opening contest in 2015, and they played like it.

After the opening AC/GC drive stalled at mid-field, Van Meter took it’s first chance of the night and ran with it. On the first offensive play for Van Meter, Ian Abrahamson found pay dirt from 50 yards out. It was mostly downhill from there for AC/GC

AC/GC failed to get past mid-field offensively, and come up with a stop in the first half when they entered the break trailing 35-0.

AC/GC ended up falling to #3 Van Meter 42-8. The Chargers fall to 4-1 on the season and will play host to Clarinda Friday evening.
