The list of Republican challengers against incumbent Steve King for Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District seat continues to grow.
Sources say Steve Reeder has joined the field, making the fourth individual who has announced their candidacy for the Republican primary election next June. Sources say he is a commercial real estate broker and his campaign is focused on rural revitalization and making sure the federal budget is balanced.
Reeder is challenging Congressman King for the congressional seat. He will also face off against Iowa Senator Randy Feenstra, former businessman Bret Richards and Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor for the June 2020 primary election. For the Democrats, J.D. Scholten announced he is running again. Scholten lost to King in the 2018 election by three-percentage points.
