The Stuart Police Department is taking part in a nationwide initiative by holding a community event next week.
Wednesday, October 2nd is the fourth annual National Coffee with a Cop Day, and the Stuart Police will host their own event from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Coffee and donuts will be offered, as well as a chance for citizens to meet and engage with the local officers. There is no agenda or speeches planned, as it is a time meant to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the department better.
