Tuesday, September 24th

8:36am: The Greene County Elementary School requested an officer at 401 East Russell Street for a Theft complaint. A 9-year-old Male juvenile student had stolen items from the Book Fair. The student had taken $5.00 in items without paying for them. The officer has sent the Juvenile Court a charge of Theft 5th Degree for the juvenile.

11:54am: A caller requested a Welfare Check on domestic rabbits in an outdoor cage at 503 South Cedar Street. The officer spoke to the resident and was allowed to view the animals. The animals were in good condition and had clean water and food present. The officer did advise the owner that the manure generated needed to be removed from the property. He advised he would check back in a few days to ensure the issue had been taken care of.

2:24pm: Officers were sent to City Hall, located at 220 North Chestnut Street, for an unruly customer. The male had left before the arrival of officers, but was contacted by phone and advised he was no longer welcome in the building.

3:37pm: Ryan Patterson spoke to an officer about a possible Harassment Issue.

5:02pm: Patrick Coil reported Criminal Mischief had occurred at 802 West State Street. Three tires on two different vehicles had been punctured. The officer estimated the replacement of the three tires at $300.00. It is unknown when the damage occurred.

5:06pm: Daniel Scheffers reported a Careless Driver near Lincoln Way and Elm. He reported the young male driver had pulled into the fuel station at 303 North Elm Street. The officer spoke to a juvenile male at the address. He advised the gentleman had approached him about his driving, but denied he was driving in a careless matter.

11:42pm: Nicole Borkowski advised a male was at her friend’s residence and yelling at them. Th officer drove to 205 North Locus Street and spoke to the resident, who advised Patterson had been there screaming at him, but had left. He requested the officer to contact Patterson and ask him not to return to his residence. The officer did so.
