This Saturday, Greene County residents can don their favorite comic book, graphic novel or other cosplay costume as the GC MiniCon returns to Jefferson.

Sponsored by the Greene County Libraries Association, GC MiniCon will be held at the Greene County Community Center from 1-5pm Saturday. There will be a laser demonstration from Jefferson resident Troy Powers, a scavenger hunt, a presentation with Samurai Dan and Lady Jillian, photo-ops and make-and-take activities. Plus, there will be at least eight vendors of mostly artists and comic authors. Attendees are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes as there will be a free costume runway contest.

Last year over 50 people attended the first-ever MiniCon. Organizer and Paton Library Director Amber Love says they had positive feedback from the surveys that were conducted following last year’s inaugural event.
