The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers and Lady Tigers Cross Country teams both put on great performances during their only home meet of the season as the men’s team finished second and the women’s team finished third. Both teams were aided by strong individual running performances, with Nate Mueller adding another win to his campaign with a time of 16 minutes and 14 seconds, 52 seconds ahead of his closest challenger. Quinton Kimrey finished 12th and Braeden Hegarty finished 13th for the Tigers.
On the girls side, freshmen Gineva Timmerman finished second in the race with a time of 20 minutes and 31 seconds. Hannah Welch also finished in the top 10 finishing in 8th place.
The runners were all able to get out to a quick start and able to secure good positions in the race, leading to their great times. It was a great race for both teams, and they will look to build on the momentum in the coming weeks as district and state races get closer.
