AC/GC hosted a ranked matchup Tuesday evening.

The Chargers entered the latest edition of the IHSGAU volleyball rankings coming in at #15 in Class 2A. They’re first five-set match as a ranked team just happened to be Des Moines Christian, who is ranked #13 in Class 3A. DMC came into the match undefeated, only dropping one set all season.

The Chargers night started strong, taking set one 25-23 and giving DMC their second set loss of the season. AC/GC was unable to ride that momentum as they dropped set two 25-15. DMC took a 2-1 led after outlasting AC/GC 27-25 in set three. The Lions were able to clinch the match in set four with another tightly contested set, winning 25-23.

AC/GC drops to 16-3 on the season. They will rest of the rest of the week and head to Madrid next Tuesday to try to get back on track.
