Greene County sends its varsity volleyball team to Alleman today to face North Polk and Winterset. The match vs. the Comets is at 5:30 p.m. and is a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference match. The Rams also meet Winterset and the Huskies and Comets will also square off.

Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team is 9-10 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The 2019 Rams have already exceeded the win total of seven from each of the previous two seasons. This is the eighth year playing as Greene County and there hasn’t been a winning season in any of the previous seven years. The last winning volleyball season for the Rams was in 2011, the last year playing as Jefferson-Scranton when that team went 22-11 overall and 7-2 in HOIAC action.
