The Perry Chamber of Commerce is about to kick off several months of community events, and the first activity on the holiday docket is a new one.

This Saturday, from 4-7 p.m. around the downtown area, the Chamber is hosting their first ever “Fall Sip and Shop.” Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the event will be similar to the annual Chocolate Walk, though the biggest difference will be that it’s free to attend. “Everyone that is a host will provide some kind of complementary beverage. We’re keeping it pretty open with it being ‘Sip and Shop,’ so whether it’s cider or it’s wine, it’s hot chocolate, it’ll kind of vary per location. There might be some snacks. But we’re just kind of keeping it casual this time around, especially with it being our first go. And just encouraging people to get out, see what’s new. It’s just a fun fall time right now, and so (we’re) having the fall ‘Sip and Shop’ to kick us off for the season.”
