:Greene County cross-country head coach Jeff Lamoureux is anxious to watch the Rams run again. It’s going on three weeks since the Rams have had a meet, thanks to consecutive rainouts on Sept. 12 for the Ram Invitational at Spring Lake State Park and Sept. 19 at Lake Panorama for the Panorama Invitational. Next on the schedule is the Sept. 26 Roland-Story Norsemen Invitational in Story City.

Prior to the back-to-back rainouts, the Rams were starting to find their groove. Both the girls ad boys teams were running their best this season. Both Greene County teams were finishing in the upper division, which hasn’t always been the case in recent seasons of Greene County cross-country.

Lamoureux told Raccoon Valley Radio if nothing else gets rained out, his team could have two meets a week leading up to the Oct. 24 State Qualifying Meet. The Greene County meet has been rescheduled for Oct. 17. The Panorama meet was originally going to be made up, but officials announced earlier today that the meet at Lake Panorama is now cancelled and won’t be made up.
