Both of AC/GC’s leading rushers continue to rise on the Class 1A rushing list.

Senior Colby Jacobe was the first Charger rusher to break the 200-yard mark Friday when he finished with 204 yards on the way to a 52-20 victory over Tri-Center. One of his two touchdowns came from 69-yards out. Jacobe is currently sitting fourth in Class 1A with 595 yard on the season.

Sophomore Gavin Cornelison is not far behind as he ranks seventh in Class 1A with 551 yards. Cornelison added three touchdowns Friday to increase his total for the year to double-digits. His 10 touchdowns is tied for third-best in the state.

The two backs will look to build on their hot start Friday when the Chargers hit the road to take on Van Meter in a battle of undefeated teams.
