The Perry Chamber of Commerce held the second to last farmers market of the season yesterday evening, and for the fourth time this summer it had a theme.
On this occasion, the focus was health and wellness, with a wide assortment of information vendors on hand to discuss those topics with attendees. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti was happy with how the event went, saying it achieved the goal of bringing even more people out for the weekly market. “Health and Wellness Night has been a great success, we have a lot of community partners joining us tonight! So it’s just been nice to have a few new faces come down and support the market, show off what they’ve got going on with their services in the community, their products as well, and just bringing a few more people down to (the) market. Just helping us stay full throughout the season, and have a community event downtown.”
The final Perry Farmers Market will be next Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Josh Davis Plaza and on 2nd Street. Pasutti thanked everyone who shopped at the market this summer, especially during the four special events, as well as the vendors who showed up throughout the season.
