Greene County varsity cross-country, volleyball, and football teams are all in action later this week, and fans will have the opportunity to watch volleyball and football at home.
Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s cross-country girls and boys make the short trip south to the Lake Panorama Par Three Golf Course for the Panorama Coed Invitational tomorrow. The Rams haven’t run for two weeks after the Sept. 12 Ram Invitational was postponed due to weather.
Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s volleyball Rams host the Gilbert Tigers and the Carroll Tigers Thursday in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The Rams host Gilbert at 5 p.m. in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference match, followed by Carroll and Gilbert. The Rams and Carroll will conclude the evening.
Greene County football is a Linduska Field in Jefferson on Friday night when the Rams host Gilbert on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m. Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams are 3-0 and ranked fifth in Class 2A, while Gilbert is a Class 3A program with a 2-1 record.
