Greene County was a straight sets winner over Saydel in Des Moines Tuesday night in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference volleyball. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team improved to 1-1 in the conference and 9-8 overall with a 25-14, 25-3, 25-8 sweep of the Eagles, who fell to 0-2 in the league and 1-10 overall.

Greene County will host both Gilbert and Carroll tomorrow in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The Rams and Gilbert start things off at 5 p.m. with a HOIAC match, followed by Carroll and Gilbert. Greene County and Carroll will play the final match of the evening.
