A Panora felon that was found having over a dozen weapons in his home was convicted and sentenced Monday.

Through a plea agreement, 44-year-old Duane Paul Cleek was convicted on two counts of possession of a firearm or offensive weapon by a felon, a class D felony. The other 11 identical counts were dismissed. Cleek was given a suspended five-year prison sentence for each of the two convicted counts and was placed on three years probation for each count, with both sentences running consecutively. He’s also ordered to pay $1,500 in fines with a statutory 35% surcharge, full restitution, and court costs. This conviction stems from a June 13th incident in which the Panora Police Department received a tip that Cleek unlawfully possessed several firearms. An executed search warrant found 10 long guns and two revolvers, with miscellaneous ammunition and hunting gear.
