This month has been a particularly busy one for the Perry Public Library, and that continues on Tuesday, September 24th with the next event in their Medicare Basics seminar series.

The program will be held at 6 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room, and it will be led by local licensed insurance agents Aaron Thacker and Ali Chambers. Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel says the seminar will be helpful to anyone approaching retirement age, and she encourages them to sign up. “This is free and open to the public, and it provides an overview of Medicare; what it does and doesn’t cover, information on supplements, advantage plans, as well as advice on how to protect your savings from out-of-pocket expenses. Registration is required for that, because they only want so many people so that they can work more one-on-one with people.”

For more information on the seminar, or to register, stop in or call the library at 515-465-3569. To learn more about this and the many other upcoming programs at the Perry Library, click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Kestel.
