As we approach the colder months, children and families in need of warm clothes will have the opportunity to get just that in Greene County.

New Opportunities in Greene County is having a Warm Hearts Clothing Drive. New Opportunities Greene County Coordinator Teresa Lansman says about 44 families, which includes about 98 children, have signed up for the program this year. This is up from last year’s 33 families and about 79 children. 

Lansman is accepting any new or gently used child-size coats, snow pants, boots and gloves at her office location at 1401 North Elm Street in Jefferson until October 11th. The winter clothing items will be distributed on October 19th.
