As the official beginning of fall nears, you can celebrate the departing season with the final event in the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce’s summer concert series.
This Saturday, the Chamber invites the community to Rock’N Saturday, featuring the band Red Dirt Renegade. The concerts have customarily been held on Fridays, but with the high school football season in full swing the Chamber felt a Saturday show to wrap things up was the best idea. The event will also take place at a different time than normal, running from 4-7 p.m. However, it will still be held at the Adel Stage and Pavilion, located on the corner of 10th and Main streets, and it’s free and open to all ages. As a reminder, attendees can bring their own food and drinks to the concert, including beer and wine. However, alcoholic beverages are to stay in the Pavilion area, and glass bottles are not allowed.
The Adel Chamber has been happy with the turnout for the previous events in the concert series, though they lament that there’s been frequent disruption from Mother Nature. Red Dirt Renegade was originally supposed to play in July, but the concert was postponed due to the weather. In spite of that, the Chamber feels the Rock’N events have been successful overall in getting the community out to enjoy some entertainment, meet their neighbors, and show why Adel is a good place to live, work, and play.
