A reminder that the deadline to submit nomination forms to be on the city and school board elections is fast approaching.

According to the Greene County Auditor’s office, nominations are due by 5pm Thursday, September 19th. There are also signature requirements that must be met to be on the November 5th ballot. Those running for the two at-large seats on the Greene County School Board must have at least 50 signatures. Those running for the Paton-Churdan School Board must have a minimum of ten signatures. 

Anyone running for the mayor or two at-large city council seats for the City of Jefferson must get at least 25 signatures. Those running for the mayor or city council seats for Rippey, Paton, Grand Junction, Scranton and Churdan are required to have at least ten signatures, whereas the City of Dana must have a minimum of five signatures.

Mayor or city council nominations must be submitted to the Greene County Auditor’s office and those running for school board must submit nominations to the district’s business secretary. Check the list below to see the list of available seats for each election.

City of Churdan-Mayor and 3 Council Members

City of Dana-Mayor and 1 Council Member

City of Grand Jct-Mayor and 2 Council Members

City of Jefferson-Mayor and 2 Council Members

City of Paton-Mayor and 3 Council Members
