A Webster City man faces multiple felony charges for two separate theft incidents in Greene County.
According to court documents, 33-year-old Brett Adams was charged with a Class B Felony for ongoing criminal conduct, a Class C Felony for first-degree theft and two Class D Felonies for third-degree burglary and second-degree theft. The charges stem from two April incidents in northern Greene County.
The first alleged incident was reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s office on April 16th. Adams and another suspect, 28-year-old Logan Staley, stole several items from a residence in the 900 block of Harding Street in Churdan. Court documents show Staley told investigators that they went to the same building two times on separate days. Staley said Adams stole tools, vinyl records, a couple of machining gauges, among other items.
The second alleged incident was reported on April 24th. Adams was accused of taking pictures of a skid loader and selling it online from the victim’s residence in the 600 block of N Avenue. The skid loader was valued at $15,000 and Adams allegedly sold it for $9,000.
Adams was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail, where he remains under a $25,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
