This Thursday, patrons of the Perry Public Library will have to find somewhere else to spend their time during the midday hours, as the facility will be closed for training.

Children’s Library Suzanne Kestel says the library is bringing in an expert to help the staff get more comfortable with recently upgraded technology. “We’ve gotten a new computer system. And you know, we know basics and how to help our customers, but there’s things that we still additionally need to learn how to do as far as digging deeper and being able to help our patrons the best way we can. So we will actually have somebody come and help us with those kind of things, or questions that we have come across through having our new computers. So we’re just going to try and get better!”

The library will be closed starting at 10 a.m., and will reopen to the public at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. To learn more about this and other upcoming activities at the Perry Library, click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Kestel.
