The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening for a regular and special session.

The special meeting will begin at 5:15 p.m., with the only item a closed session to discuss pending litigation. The Board will then reconvene at 6 p.m. for the regular meeting, which will begin with principal reports on how back to school has gone, and Superintendent Clark Wicks reporting on the progress of the wrestling/multipurpose room and industrial technology facility project. In general business, the Board will consider a resolution for classification review by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Perry is one of 26 districts in Iowa asking the IHSAA to evaluate how they place schools in classes, which is currently solely based on enrollment.

After that, the Board will consider 28E agreements with the Grandwood Consortium and Woodward Academy for the current school year. They will also have discussion and possible action regarding food service agreements with Head Start and the Perry Child Development Center, personnel changes, and revisions to Board policies. The meeting will conclude with the first reading of a policy regarding limitations to employment references. The meeting is open to the public and will be held Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
