The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will start with approval of the consent agenda, followed by an update on the early returns on the new professional learning community program. The first action item on the agenda is consideration of an increase to the pay rate for event supervision, up to $20 per hour. Next, the Board will consider the purchase of 50 Google Chromebooks, in order to keep up with the larger than expected enrollment figures for the current school year. They will then approve a request for additional allowable growth and supplemental aid for the state for the negative special education balance.
Other items on the agenda include: adding a middle school cross country coach; agreements for services and special education contracts; and the renewal of a locate service contract with Communications Innovators for the District’s fiber optic network. The meeting will conclude with several discussion items, including: a bond option review with Piper-Jaffray; a revised timeline for the new elementary building; an update on the emergency operations plan; and a start of school report. The meeting will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the Board Room at the ADM District Administration Center in Adel.
