The Perry Public Library has a wide assortment of programming planned for September, including a series of events that start tomorrow.
The library is partnering with ISU Extension and Outreach to offer four programs titled “Stay Strong After Age 60.” The first session will be tomorrow at 9 a.m., and there will be three more during each of the subsequent Fridays this month. Extension Human Sciences Specialist Mary Krisco will lead the wellness series, and Perry Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel says it should benefit anyone who wants to age with grace. “You don’t have to be 60 to participate, but the focus is on our senior citizens. We want people to maintain their strength, their health, their brain health, and so she will focus on all these things. So comfortable attire is recommended, and (we) hope that people sign up for that.”
The program is free to attend, though registration is required. For more information or to sign up, stop in or call the library at 515-465-3569.
