The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs Football team opened its season on the road Pella last Friday, and left in defeat, 14-0.

The Mustangs put together a fine defensive effort against the Little Dutch, and shut out Pella in the second half of play.

DC-G Head Coach, Scott Heitland, spoke with Raccoon Valley Radio about his team’s next foe, Norwalk, who the Mustangs will face on Friday.  Heitland said that the ranked Warriors will present a big test for his team, but you will see a lot of similarities between the two teams.

Heitland mentioned that both schools are similar class size, and both schools have few players that are on the field both ways.

Norwalk opened their season last Friday on the road at Indianola, and took down the Indians, 26-3.

Dallas Center-Grimes will travel to Norwalk on Friday night for a 7:30pm kick off.
