The summer will be cruising to an end in Stuart this Saturday with the third and final Scoop the Loop car show of 2019.

After a large turnout at their first event in June and a thunderstorm-riddled event in July, the organizers hope to end the summer on a high note. The first 120 vehicles who register for the always-free event will receive gift bags, not to mention the gift prizes given to category winners. Organizer Bob Cook says there’s around a million dollars in machinery that gathers in downtown Stuart for the show, “One of the unique things about Scoop the Loop is people don’t just park their rides. They drive on the loop, they have some fun, you hear a little bit of the V8 engine noise that I miss from my youth. But it’s always a safe event.”

Cook adds this is a family-friendly event, and residents and visitors are invited to enjoy music, food vendors, and the classic rolling cars. The event starts at 4 p.m. with registration at 3 p.m. and the awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
