Week two of the Fall sports seasons for the Greene County Rams is on the light side. None of the Greene County varsity teams will be in action until Thursday, Sept. 5.

Coach Jeff Lamoureux will watch his cross-country girls and boys run in the West Central Valley Invitational on Thursday at the 5 x 80 Golf Course south of Menlo. starting time is 4:30 p.m.

The Ram football team is at Nevada on Friday, Sept. 6. Coverage on KG98 and streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6 p.m. with coverage at 7 p.m. The 1-0 Rams started the season with a 54-0 “Cowbell Game” victory over Perry last Friday in Jefferson. The 1-0 Cubs began with a 26-15 win in Alleman vs. North Polk.

Greene County volleyball plays on Saturday, Sept. 7 in Lake City at the South Central Calhoun Invitational. The 2-2 Rams are scheduled to meet Pocahontas Area, Audubon, South Hamilton (Jewell), IKM-Manning, and Belmond-Klemme.
