Monday is Labor Day, which means there are a wide assortment of closures throughout Dallas County.

In Perry, all City offices, the Water Works, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed in observance of the holiday. Additionally, the Perry Public Library will be closed today and tomorrow. Garbage routes in Perry scheduled for Monday will instead be picked up on Tuesday, and those normally on Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday. As a result, there will also be no yard waste pickup this week, though it will resume next Wednesday for the south side of Willis Avenue.

Similarly in Adel, all City offices and the public library will be closed Monday, though the garbage routes in the City will not be altered. All Dallas County offices, including the courthouse and driver’s license station, will also be closed. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions throughout the County will be closed. Everything will reopen Tuesday, unless otherwise specified.
