A popular fall attraction is now open in Greene County.

Deal’s Orchard opened its Apple Acres and corn maze for the first time this weekend. Gerald Deal talks about a new addition to Apple Acres.

“We got some tractor tires and put an area over by the corn maze where we filled it with sand and make it kind of a mountain so kids can play on.”

Other activities include an extended corn box inside the chicken house, pedal tractors, dual 80-foot slides, a jumping pillow, hamster wheels, hand water pump duck races and the corn maze, among others. Deal says the corn maze features a farm scene this year, along with other fun activities to do inside.

“We’ve got a game in there so that people can go around and try and find different information (and) different points of interest within the corn maze too.”  

Apple Acres is free for those 2 and under or 65 and older. There is an admission fee for everyone else. There will also be free hayrides, along with several special weekends throughout the fall season.
