Last season the AC/GC Chargers started the year with a 35-0 loss to IKM-Manning, they had something different in mind Friday evening.

The Chargers set the tone early with a lengthy drive capped off with a three yard touchdown run. IKM-Manning answered immediately with a 70-yard kickoff return by Amos Rasmussen that ended in the endzone. The Chargers regained momentum with another strong and lengthy drive to answer back. The IKM-Manning offense took the field for the first time trailing by a touchdown when three plays into their drive sophomore defensive back Cayden Jensen came up with an interception. AC/GC worked their way to a dominant 32-21 victory. The Chargers were carried by Gavin Cornelison and Kolby Jacobe who combined for over 300 yards on the ground and scored all five of the teams touchdowns.

The Adel Fareway Road Ahead for the Chargers will feature their home opener in Guthrie Center to build on their 1-0 record Friday. They will welcome Woodward-Granger as they hope to give out another taste of revenge. Last year the Chargers lost a close battle to Woodward-Granger 13-8.
