The end of the swimming season in Jefferson is this Sunday, as an annual event closes it down for the year.

The Doggie Paddle event is hosted by the Animal Protection and Education (APE) Agency. The festivities will take place on Sunday, September 1st from 1-3pm at the Jefferson Municipal Pool. Cost for canines is $4 and human owners get in free with a paid dog. Free-will donations will also be accepted. 

All proceeds will go back to APE to continue their low cost spay and neuter program.
