Wednesday, August 28th
2:43am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical call in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street.
3:34am: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 102 North Cedar Street.
7:56am: Teresa Skalla reported a Suspicious Male on the bike trail near the Elementary School. The subject walked away as she approached him. The officer was unable to locate the subject in the area.
10:16am: An officer and a DHS Case Worker received a reported of a possible Sexual Assault, which occurred against a Dependent Adult. The investigation into the alleged crime will be handled by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.
10:34am: An officer and the Public Works Director responded to the 100 Block of Briarwood Bend for a citizen yelling at the crew dropping off new garbage cans. The officer explained to the citizen the proper way to vent his frustrations with the city council.
3:23pm: Lynn Watson reported a Stray Dog near Elm and Brackett Streets. The animal was not located by the officer.
5:22pm: Oly’s Corner reported a Gas Drive Off from 208 West Lincoln Way Street.
5:25pm: Pam Mallory reported a vehicle, which cut her off in traffic, had stopped at Elm and Greenewood. She requested an officer. The officer arrived and learned the other vehicle was an out of town drive who was lost and did not mean to cut off the Mallory vehicle. The two drivers had spoke and worked out the issue before the officer arrived.
6:16pm: An officer was requested at Dollar General, located at 104 North Locust Street. The officers arrived and learned the subjects from the previous entry were still in town and lost again. The officers assisted them in finding their way out of town.
7:12pm: Officers responded to 1402 Southfield Drive after dispatch had received an Open Line 911 Call. The officers spoke to the residents, who were fine and needed no assistance.
7:49pm: Kenny Millard reported a female subject had his uncle’s Disability Payment Card and was using it to purchase items. The officer spoke to the female, who returned the card.
11:59pm: Taylor Gruber reported his neighbor’s vehicle was parked in the driveway in the 200 Block of South Cedar Street. The vehicle was running with the door open. The officer spoke to the neighbor, who shut the vehicle off and secured it.
