This coming Monday is Labor Day, which means there will be a wide assortment of closures throughout Dallas County.

In Perry, all City offices, the Water Works, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed in observance of the holiday. Additionally, the Perry Public Library will be closed both Sunday and Monday. The City Council meeting will also be moved from its normal time on Monday evening to Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Clarion Room at City Hall. Garbage routes in Perry scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, and those normally on Tuesday will be on Wednesday. As a result, there will also be no yard waste pickup on Wednesday.

Similarly in Adel, all City offices and the Adel Public Library will be closed Monday, though the garbage routes in the City will not be altered. All Dallas County offices, including the courthouse and driver’s license station will be also closed. Finally, all post offices throughout the County and all banking institutions will be closed. Everything will reopen on Tuesday, September 3rd, unless otherwise specified.
