The Guthrie County Fair is “on the moooove” for its first day of 4-H and FFA events, entertainment and more tomorrow.

Admission to the fair is free tomorrow, and the day begins with animal weigh-ins and check-ins. Wichita Wildcats 4-H member Reagan Gibson explains the livestock judging contest happening at 6 p.m., “So the livestock judging contest you’ll usually judge a couple classes of breeding and market animals so you judge for different traits. So in a market hog you would judge for muscle composition and fat and you would judge what is going to make the best meat, basically.”

Thursday also includes the 4-H/FFA Dog show followed by open class in the show ring at 6 p.m., the Clover Kids Show at 7 p.m. in the hoop building, and the Bill Riley Talent Show at 7 p.m. in the Guthrie Center High School Auditorium. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio as we broadcast live with the Big Red Radio every day of the fair.
