One driver was cited after unlawfully trying to pass another vehicle north of Panora Wednesday.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 7:29 a.m. 49-year-old Jeri Judith Moore of Dexter was driving a Nissan Rogue northbound on Highway 4 near the Lakeside Village when she stopped to make a left hand turn. Thirty-one year-old Theodora Joy Spencer Madison of Woodward was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when she tried to pass Moore’s vehicle in a no passing zone and struck Moore’s driver side front fender. Spencer Madison’s vehicle then came to a rest on the shoulder. No injuries were reported and Moore’s vehicle sustained $3,500 worth in damage. Spencer Madison’s vehicle had $500 worth in damage. Spencer Madison was cited for prohibited passing.
