
The Mustangs and Fillies Cross Country runners of Dallas Center-Grimes High School will run their first course of the fall this evening as DC-G will make the trip to Gilbert for the season opening meet.
The Iowa High School XC and TF has preseason ranked the Mustangs as #6 in Class 3A Boys’ Cross Country. The same source has also ranked the Boys’ counterparts of DC-G Cross Country, as the Fillies have been ranked in preseason standings even higher at #2 in 3A Girls’ X/C.
The Iowa High School XC and TF also noted that DC-G runner, Megan Sterbenz, is one of the strongest distance runners in the state. She has been preseason ranked as #7 in the individual standings.
After tonight, Dallas Center-Grimes will look forward to hosting the DC-G Invitational next Tuesday which will bring schools of all classes to Dallas Center on September 3.
