The Perry football team will open up the brand new season Friday night in Jefferson when they take on Greene County in the annual Cowbell clash.  Perry lost a number of starters off last year’s 0-9 team and will send out it youngest and most inexperienced squad in quite some time.

“We really are building up from ground zero,” stated head coach Matt Hardy.  “We lost a number of good football players last year to graduation so this camp has had a little bit of a different feel.  I must say I have been very pleased with the effort the kids are putting in as we figure out our best plan.”

Perry held a brief scrimmage last Friday night running a few plays and getting their starters used to a little contact.  You can listen to Perry football Friday night on KDLS starting at 6:00.
